I went through a divorce about three years ago and didn’t shoot as much, but I gained an interest with my son in building some Rifles from parts and then customizing and accessorizing where these would be more like hunting youth and not just safe queens or wall hangers. In fact, I’ve used many of my military surplus rifles/carbines, but mainly Mosins, we’re taking something from the field and filling the freezer with meat and creating a different type of wall hanger. In the process of building these rifles, I had two that were the surplus of the surplus and I recently moved and I’m trying to downsize and minimize some of my arsenal were their duplicates many more than that. You could never have too many guns, of course, but when you factor in all the other outdoor gear that I have in my new tiny space, sometimes things just get away that you don’t actually use as much as some of the other guns. These are both in 7.62 x 54R, The only rimmed cartridge that has lasted through the timeline of three centuries and is still in use today in military service overseas. For those of you who are not aware, for a “different “type of hunting rifle, the ballistics on this round fall between a 308 Winchester/7.62 x 51 and a 30-06. With the recent political battle with the Biden administration on sanctions against Russia, because of the Ukraine war and a non-renewal of contracts with Russian and affiliated countries who manufacture this round, which I think is still the best Ammo, foreign, ammo for this rifle is becoming a little more scarce so I have a pretty good amount of ammo that I’ve also sourced, but I have like three lifetime supplies so if you would like to buy some ammo from me so you have an Apple supply, that’s fine too. These guns are mounted with scopes and have the sniper bolt original to World War II in style because I was just trying to make these cool hunting rifles and a very big conversation piece at the Deer lease or the gun range. The M4 four has a dry rail mount on it and I kind of did the same mounting configuration on both with having a scout mount that was a very good quality and solidly in place and then do a cantilever rail above it, similar to a JMECK mount that I’ve had a lot of success with in the past as far as it holding a zero. I did this project on a M 38 with my son and his beginning stages of firearm building and light gunsmithing, and it turned out better than I ever thought. The 9130 has a cheek riser, and I can get whatever color you want to throw in with the M 44 version as well or you can always source your own. Everything is complete and works, and these are part builds from different parts that I sourced with my son, and we built these as kind of Frankenstein Mosins. Scopes are very utilitarian and have lighted radicals, but they are certainly not the highest in scopes. The money can buy, but they will work for an inexpensive hunting option and before unique with a lot of history, built into each one as well as some blood sweat and tears from my 15 year-old teenage son and I who really enjoyed building these Together every weekend that I had him after I moved out.

These were really fun projects and I would love to pass on the fun to somebody who would enjoy shooting these as much as we did putting them together and customizing them. Nothing was drilled and tapped. Both have rubber butt pads and their own character as well.

The market on this pattern of rifle seems to have fluctuated lately, so I’m going to put out there to just make me an offer because I know that these are unique but at the same time they have been authorized, but nothing has been drilled or tapped on either one so they can certainly be returned to original configuration.
